Amazing album. So much raw passion and emotion packed into one LP. After hearing Mother a few years ago, they really caught my attention. I vibe with their thoughts on society and the state of the world. Fighting back against the broken system we all live in. Finding joy in the few ways we all can.
My favorite songs are:
War
Mr. Motivator
Anxiety
Ne Touche Pas Moi
Carcinogenic
Reigns
A Hymn gregymon

Take everything poetic about Slint, the batshit crazy elements of Black Midi, blend them with some sexy horns, and you get this post-rock masterpiece. Funnily enough, those bands are name dropped in this album. alice ✞ ✞ ✞

My family drove in silence for the whole album, soaking up every song, on a road trip to visit family. The kids, now grown, grew up on Fugazi. As usual, we all get something different out of each song, but in conclusion, we agree- this is a rocking, listening experience worth sharing. We are also grateful for Amy Farina’s voice and percussion. What a great marriage of music! We hope for more <3
